Antique gold frame w deconstructed embroidery

An antique gold frame, ornate, classic, and museum-like, holds something unexpected. Instead of a traditional painting, the surface inside resembles a notice board, punctuated with small metal studs, as if designed to pin memories in place. Centered within it is bold red Palestinian embroidery, created in a deconstructed style, not displayed as decoration, but presented as something preserved, fixed, and witnessed.

This is not embroidery placed in a frame simply to be admired. It is embroidery placed on a surface associated with reminders, a space where we pin what we cannot afford to forget.
