HAMA HINNAWI founded HAMA with a mission that extends beyond design. In December 2010, she traveled to Palestine for the first time and was deeply moved by the inspiring actions and events she witnessed. This experience gave her the idea to create HAMA in February 2011 Leaving behind a successful decade-long career as a Medical Business Consultant. was born and raised in Jordan with roots in Nablus, Palestine, now divides her time between the USA and Jordan.
Hinnawi embodies her commitment to being a voice for the voiceless and raising awareness of cultural heritage. A dedicated advocate for human rights, Hama has also worked as a women's empowerment consultant in Palestinian and Syrian refugee camps in Jordan. Her efforts earned her a nomination for the Arab Woman of the Year award in London in 2017, and she currently serves as the Chair of Art and Culture for the Chicago-Amman Sister Cities program, and Jordanian American Business Counsil, and a speaker at different panel talks for women, refugees, humanity and fashion in the Middle East and USA.
